Durghlar is a Dwarven merchant prince that I use when I GM. He is, in fact, the one hiring the players for the Labyrinth of Seresh-ka. He had a previous group find the journal of Atreyas the Younger, an Elven wizard that belonged to the Blue Hawk Mob, an adventuring group from about a hundred years ago that followed Skirin, the Night Lord.

The journal listed the groups travels, and recorded their encounter with the Face of Despair. This is a huge granite face, set into the side of a cliff. The face appears only during a triple full moon, which occurs 8 times per year in Arduin (yes, I did up the moon phase charts). The Face is the entrance to the labyrinth of Seresh-ka.
