First rolled up as part of an Arduin Adventure campaign run by Dave Hargrave. At that time, the rule was that each and every stat was rolled on a D20, (while Dave watched), and then you had to play the character. The campaign was set in Thieves' World, so everyone was a thief, though they could also have another class. Well, I rolled 20 for strength, 20 for dexterity and (with Dave muttering) a 20 for agility. It was his D20 too!

Galen survived that campaign, along with his non-identical twin brother, Halex, who was much closer to normal. They then went on a run into Skull Tower, where Halex promptly got himself killed. Galen has never been the same. Not long after that, he was killed, but resurrected by a Buddhist monk, and so converted to Buddhism. Ever since, he has considered it his karma to kill people and break things. Twice he has been the only survivor of a run who was able to recover from the wounds received. He doesn't do that anymore, having found employment as the Captain of the Guard in a noble household.

Taciturn and almost humorless, he speaks as little as possible. The only way you can tell if he's upset is if he pulls out his flute and starts to play; the tune will be beautiful but haunting. He's got a nice flaming 2-handed sword, but more often he shield-bashes opponents because it's easier, and satisfies his rage. With a strength of 27, why not?  His idea of a joke is to insist that he's really a thief, and that fighting is just a hobby.

Unimpeachably loyal, but unforgiving of treachery. And he really hates mounted opponents; he came at one war-trained destrier so ferociously, it dumped it's rider and bolted. His surviving family are four sisters: Martirion, Visalia, Penion and Modania--he's not fond of any of them.

6'8", 220 lb, tousled straw-colored hair, tan skin, cross-eyed [blue], with an almost perpetual scowl. Usually decked out in full plate armor, with full helm and tower shield, but instead of gauntlets, he wears open-fingered gloves.
