Jaihyll Caemayhl
created by
John Kell
Jaihyll started off as forester in his majesty's
kingdom. The day his life was changed forever was the day he sought out
a group of brigands with the aid of several companion he met along the
way. The fight was long and costly for with the brigands they had with
them a horrible necromancer that sought to ursup a minor noble of his
power and begin the take over of the lower province of Herot.
Jaihyll and his companion fought valiantly and all was near lost when
Jaihyll stumbled with an arrow through his side and plunged into a deep
forgotten shaft within the brigand's lair. He came to only to find that
the rocks that surrounded him began to edge closer to him. With but
shortsword in hand he began to lay about the death of the deadly Krag
Spyders and though poisoned, his body rejected the deadly stoning venom
and he slew them all.
Jaihyll now lay there bleeding and poisoned, yet new his comrades to be
dead or awaiting that which was a far worse terror, the Necromancer
himself. He only new that he had to do something and as he struggled to
regain his shaking feet, his hand grasped onto a stone of the size of a
heart and the color of the most fiery of rubies. Deeply inside the stone
it began to pulse once Jaihyll picked it up and soon the pulse became
Jaihyll's own heart beating to the rhythm of the stone, or the stone to
his own heart beat.
His wounds began to close and his body began to slowly recover; slowly
the stone seemed to aid him in the strength needed to aid his friends
and, as if the stone itself told him, he took the stone and held it
against the bow his own father cut for him the day he was born.
Incredibly the stone melded within the Black Yew Bow and Jaihyll knew,
without a doubt, he now had a weapon formidable enough to help his
friends and defeat the evil which walked above.
Jaihyll slowly climbed out of the man-made crevice and can upon a ledge
that over-looked a large cavern where the bandits and necromancer had
gathered his friends for a sacrifice. He had but four good arrows and a
shortsword against a score of men that killed for the sheer pleasure,
yet he knew he had to try else all would be lost.
With a voice of stubborn courage and a rage tempered with justice, he
spoke,
"You who have defiled the innocent and destroyed life for your own gains
are found guilty and wanting. Bow and ask forgiveness and you shall live
to stand trial...else you shall all perish and your blood shall paint
these cavern walls, your bones, a blanket for its floor."
And they laughed. How dare a man threaten them in their lair and the
necromancer motioned for the bandit leader to kill the interloper with
but a slight gesture of his hand.
Jaihyll let fly the first arrow which impaled the necromancer in the
chest. And exploded! the body became pieces as the one who worshipped
death now became apart of his own religion. The bandits halted before
the terrible carnage of the one who was to lead them to riches and glory
and in that moment those comrades chose to leap upon the nearest of
their captures for they knew it was their only chance of survival.
Again Jaihyll let loose and again a body became so much flying meat in
the air. Another shot hit the leader between the eyes which blew apart
and sprayed his men with his own gore. The prisoners had reached their
weapons, though 2 more did not make it, and they raised their weapons
against the bandits to find that the cutthroats had thrown their blades
down and began to sob and shake with acute terror.
Eight went with Jaihyll that day to fight for the glory of justice and
only four came back, one wounded horribly, yet they would do it again
for his cause was theirs and a bond developed between the four that
would one day lead them to the very gates of hell, and beyond.
As for Jaihyl, that was the beginning of a new path for him, one that
would test his soul as well as his mettle. And though at times this path
cost him dearly, bringing both horror and wonder to his eyes, nothing
could ever match his bond between he and the stone that saved his and
his friends lives, now embedded into his bow, The "HeartBow".
Jaihyll has many more experiences though that was his first. He has
climbed Angel's Perch and discovered Dragon's Roost; He has delved deep
into the Grerat Wyrm road and found a city where time does not exist. He
was married at one time, then years later when he was happy and content,
was ambushed by the BLS and his family slain and he left for dead.
He also traveled to the very gates of Hell and beyond to free the Elven
Queen's Soul from the clutches of the evil SPM Radix and his army of
soulless death knights in the throne room of Satan himself. (A story
soon to come!)
His courage earned him the Ruby Heart Pendent from the queen herself and
he those that survived the quest were granted Elf Friend and more.
Finally, Jaihyll is the founder of the "Pathfinder" A Royal offshoot
that uses Foresters for more dangerous missions that delve in the
unknown.
He is the Baron of Woodheart, a barony to the north of Melkalund that is

though his favorite pastime now to to go in search of myths and legends
throughout the lands and prove, or disprove them.

Physical Description:
Jaihyll is taller than most men with a lean waist and wide shoulders.
His is a frame that speaks of endurance and speed rather than power and
keeps in shape by running and swimming. His eyes are of cold steel,
though warmed up when he casts a friendly smile which he is quick to
give. His hair is the color of rust-colored leaves on a breezy Autumn
day that run to the nape of his neck and is tied off with a simple black
leather and silver band. His garb is comfortable usually all black as he
still considers himself in mourning for his wife and children. Crimson
and silver usually offset the dreariness of the black.
