They are in the bestiary portion of the CA II book. Its a pretty sparse entry. However, I treat them as the following:
They look like Tartarus Spiders image here and I treat them as such except make them much larger than the normal Tartarus spider. You can read some more on them here as well

A forester is competent (+10%) with bows. They are +20% with their primary weapon if it is a bow. Do those two bonuses stack, resulting in a total +30% or is +20% total for the primary weapon?
|
A foresters bonuses do indeed stack together if chosen as you did.

If a non-Thief character obtains a Thief skill (such as a Courtesan or gaining Hide from a special ability roll), do they gain the racial bonuses for their race on that skill (if any) that are listed in the Thief section?

Yes.

The section on Experience Levels does not seem to address split class characters.
|
The CA does not implement this well. If you allow split class, my best suggestion is to average the requirements of the class to advance.
So if one advances every 4 expeditions and the other ever 3 expeditions, they would advance in both every 3 or 4 expeditions depending on how you want to average.

Weapons Training: In general, how does one become familiar with a weapon? Is he familiar if the weapon is listed in the race details (such as rapiers, poniards/daggers and chupa for Khai-Zirin)? Is he familiar if it is listed in the class details (such as crossbows and daggers listed for the Techno)? This seems most important to the third class of Weapons Training detailed, as they are WC -15 with every weapon unless they are familiar with it... unless I'm reading that wrong. This makes it kind of hard for a non-martial character that might see combat often (thieves and witch hunters for example) to start out with any appreciable melee and ranged weapon skill.

Let's see if I can unsnarl this some. If listed in race or class details, then you are familiar with the weapons. Otherwise, no familiarity is implied. This does indeed place a strong bias against non-martial characters.

Does the Armor Training half EV bonus apply to individual pieces like helms and greaves, and if so, which types of individual pieces belong in which armor category. For example, there are helms and bracers of "metal reinforced hard leather", but nothing with soft leather (except gloves).

I ruled that it does in my personal games. somewhere I have posted a chart of how I viewed armor as well. I'll find the link and post later.
