All,

We implore every party involved to resolve this.

It has been brought up that there might be a breach of rights in the Arneson estate. We are just reporting what we have seen because if true that is not good. Over the years, we at EC have found numerous opportunists attempting to steal our IP Arduin that we have worked long and hard to bring to the forefront without surrendering the property to everyone so we know what it like like to have others attempt to circumvent ownership. In our case we have physical proof of these attempts. While we can’t say we know much about this case, we would implore those involved to show proof that they have legal right and proof to back up origin of documents to the best of their ability and resolve any issues with the estate and owners of the Arneson properties.

I feel I can reveal that Studio Ink Bat received more than one cease and desist notice regarding The Age of the Wolf.
The Estate prefers to work with people when they can, in order to promote Dave Arneson and his creations.
The only things they needed to know about The Age of the Wolf is how much of the work was done by Arneson, which it seems the answer is most likely zero.
Additionally, if the adventure by Studio Ink Bat was found to be a good game, then Dave Arneson and Blackmoor would need to be licensed from the Estate in order to carry both Arneson's name and the Blackmoor trademark.
The Estate would still need to review the material regardless to make sure it is something they would want associated with Dave Arneson's legacy.
The Estate has not received any documentation to show either the attribution, or the content of the game book.
Since Studio Ink Bat has chosen to ignore the Estate by no longer responding to emails, things have now come to publicizing their activities.
One can expect that now the Estate will be accused of acting in bad faith, yet, it is the Estate's duty to protect Dave Arneson and his interests.
As you can see from the image taken off the Studio Ink Bat web site, the branding implies much more than perhaps it should. What do you think?
Please Support the Dave Arneson Estate by sharing their press release widely.
